for the application
For your licence application to go through, a few documents have to come together. Here they are, sorted by your case.

Every licence application
Applies to everyone
- Valid ID card or passport
- Current biometric photo
- Confirmation from the driving school (you get this from us)
- First aid course certificate
- Eyesight test certificate
BF17
Additionally for BF17
- Personal details and signature of each accompanying person
- Copy of each accompanying person’s ID card
- Copy of each accompanying person’s licence, front and back
- Consent of your parents or guardians
UMS
Additionally for a conversion
- Original foreign driving licence
- Translation of the licence
- First registration certificate in Germany
Missing any of these?
No problem. Come anyway, we will register you and you can hand in what is missing later. The application only goes out once everything is together.
