Visiting this website
When you open the site, the host automatically records server log files: IP address, date and time, page requested, volume of data transferred, browser type and operating system. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in secure and trouble-free operation. The data is deleted after a short period and is not combined with other sources. The host is Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. A data processing agreement is in place with Vercel. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses, and Vercel is also certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Images we upload to the website ourselves are also delivered via Vercel.
Cookies and consent
We serve fonts and images ourselves. We only load services from Google and Instagram once you agree in the consent banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). We store your choice in your browser’s local storage, which is technically necessary (§ 25(2) TDDDG). You can change or withdraw it at any time via “Cookie settings” in the site footer.
Google Analytics and Google Ads
With your consent to “Statistics and ad measurement” we use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. This sets cookies and processes usage data such as pages visited, time spent, device type, approximate location and a shortened IP address, in order to improve the website and measure how many registrations come through our ads. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Personalised advertising is switched off. The data is deleted after 14 months.
Google Maps
With your consent to “External media” we embed a map from Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited). This transfers your IP address and technical data to Google, including to the USA. Without your consent we show only a link to our Google profile instead of the map. Only when you click it do you establish a connection to Google.
With your consent to “External media” we show the latest posts from our Instagram channel. Our server fetches the posts and preview images from Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland) and delivers them itself, so your browser does not connect to Meta. Only when you click a post or our profile do you go to Instagram, where Meta's privacy policy applies.
The website has a button that leads to WhatsApp. It is a plain link: no data is transferred to WhatsApp when you open the page. Only when you click it does WhatsApp open, and the privacy policy of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland applies. If you message us on WhatsApp, we process your message to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f).
Online registration with MAXI
For registration we use MAXI, the registration manager of Verlag Heinrich Vogel (fahrschulmanager.de). To show the MAXI button in the bottom right corner, your browser loads a script file from api.fahrschulmanager.de and another from a storage service at Microsoft Azure (fahrenlernen.blob.core.windows.net) after the page has opened. Your IP address is transmitted in the process. The script sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Only when you click the button does the MAXI registration open; the data you enter there is processed by the driving school together with the publisher as a service provider in order to handle your registration. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the registration and Art. 6(1)(f) for loading the button, based on our legitimate interest in a simple online registration.
Getting in touch
If you call us or send an email, we process your details in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, otherwise (f). We delete the data as soon as it is no longer needed and no retention obligation applies.
Registration form
If you use the registration form, we process the details you enter there: your name, phone number and email address, what you intend to do, the country group of your licence in case of a conversion, your preferred appointment and your optional message. We use these details solely to process your enquiry and arrange an appointment with you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as the processing serves to initiate a contract. Your data is not passed to third parties for advertising purposes.
To send the form emails we use the service provider Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., San Francisco, USA) as a processor. Data may be transferred to the USA in the process. The transfer is based on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We delete your details as soon as your enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligation applies.
To protect against automated submissions the form contains a field that is invisible to you. If it is filled in, we discard the submission. We collect no further data for this.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Please contact the address given above. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the competent one is the State Commissioner for Data Protection Baden-Württemberg.
